I’ve been ‘voicing’ pretty much all my life but I started to get paid for it in 1991, recording various sketches for a weekly radio show. The voice of ‘Captain Tablecloth’ being a personal favourite! Three years later, I provided Santa’s voice for CFM because their Santa was tied up in Gateshead - and I’ve been ‘Santa’ every year since and heard on podcasts, websites and radio stations across the globe.
I really enjoy bringing the written word to life, particularly if there’s a character involved, but over recent years, I’ve been asked to record e-learning scripts, explainer videos, TV commercials, voices for animation, all kinds of radio commercials, the London Screen Writers’ award ceremony, promotional films, and on-hold messages for UK and US based companies. My voice has even been used for a moose’s moving head within a shopping centre Christmas display!
I can adapt my voice to suit the job in hand. Whether you’d want something quirky and entertaining or warm, serious and sincere, I’ll happily provide free demos. If you’re unsure of exactly what you want your character to sound like, I’ll provide suggestions but I’m equally as comfortable taking direction to provide the sound you want. I’ll even sing for you! Whatever your needs, from a warm male voiceover or friendly British voice, please contact me for an initial chat as I’m sure I can help!
